The modern workplace is a complicated and technical environment, one that McCoy’s service technicians understand and can keep running. We have 11 highly trained technicians with years of experience. There is virtually no office repair service that we can not perform.

McCoy technicians receive extensive training from Steelcase’s own professional trainers keeping them updated with the latest developments in furniture repair. Each technician has a vehicle that acts as his personal workshop, tool room, parts warehouse and library. Tools, common parts and manuals are all found in these mobile service units – we strive to complete each job on the first call. Our inventory is tailored to the needs of our specific customers – work with McCoy and we will carry much of the stock needed by your facilities department. Your safety and downtime are our biggest concerns so we provide our technicians with every possible resource to solve your repair need in a timely and efficient manner.

Everyone understands that scheduled maintenance is critical to the reliability, longevity and value of a car, yet this same concept applies in the office furniture field. McCoy’s Scheduled Maintenance Program is unique for each customer. On a regular basis, one or more technicians will survey your furniture assets to assess any issues or concerns. With this program your facility is kept in top condition at all times, virtually eliminating any downtime.

On site steam or solvent cleaning can keep your valuable seating and panel products looking great. Many of our customers have us perform these functions after hours and are surprised to find how fresh their fabric assets look in the morning. Fabric protection will prolong the cleaning cycle and also eliminate unsightly spills and stains.

Perhaps the most often complimented aspect of the Service Department is our remarkable touch-up capabilities. Huge high gloss conference tables that had an overhead projector dropped on it or an antique wood desk that had a corner knocked off by the moving company are examples of the types of repair work that we are often asked to perform. Surprisingly, most repairs can be done on site and are remarkably invisible to the eye. With these capabilities, valuable assets are saved from the dumpster.

What is the total cost of ownership? This is the basic question that McCoy wants you to ask. We know that buying quality, then maintaining it to a high standard of functionality and beauty, you are assured of a more pleasant, efficient and ergonomic work environment and a significantly lower total cost of ownership.
